When in 2004 Conceptum decided to accelerate its growth by entering a partnership with French firm GFI Informatique, the company, which originally specialized in the development of custom services for large businesses in various sectors, changed its name to GFI Solutions Group. The following years were marked by a series of strategic acquisitions: Accovia, Bell Business Solutions, Fortsum Business Solutions, activeMédia Développement, and Tender Retail. In 2012, the company reached another turning point when, in conjunction with Invest Quebec, Capital régional et coopératif Desjardins, and Fonds de solidarité FTQ, it bought back all the shares held by GFI Informatique. As a result, GFI Solutions Group changed its name to ACCEO Solutions.
