Aquatic Informatics Releases Version 3.5 of AQUARIUS to Better Manage the World's Water Time Series Data

Water resource managers can improve workflows and productivity with AQUARIUS 3.5, the most robust and intuitive solution for managing continuous hydrological data

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - March 25, 2014) - Aquatic Informatics Inc., a global leader in providing innovative software for hydrologic data management and analysis, today announced the release of AQUARIUS 3.5. This release delivers the richest functionality and most intuitive workflows, making it easier for water resource professionals to centralize, correct, derive, and produce real-time hydrological information.

"Managing massive volumes of complex water data can be made simple with intuitive software. AQUARIUS 3.5 delivers the industry's most user friendly experience with new preview and "drag & drop" features, making it easier to turn raw data into actionable insights," said Eric Dorgelo, Chief Technology Officer at Aquatic Informatics. "Preferred globally by leading hydrological monitoring agencies like the US Geological Survey and Water Survey Canada, AQUARIUS 3.5 delivers enhanced workflows for managing time series data and metadata."

AQUARIUS 3.5 Highlights

Output Preview for Ratings. The new "Output View" allows users to preview their rating-derived data based on a selected input signal. Preview data can now be easily compared to existing derived signals, giving users a quick "before & after" view of the impact of rating changes.

Drag & Drop for Appending Time Series. In Springboard, users can now upload and append logger files with a simple "drag & drop" without access to the server file system. After configuring a hot folder, users can take advantage of the new "Drag & Drop Append" tool to easily add files, reviewing the rich success/fail status for each uploaded file.

Building Rating Curves with Time Series. In the Rating Development Tool, rating calibration data can now be pulled from time series on the AQUARIUS Server as well as from field visits. Time series values are interpolated and synchronized at the time of each field visit. Field data can now be used to correct time series and time series to calibrate ratings, improving workflows.

Extended Attributes for Time Series. Already the most sophisticated industry tool for managing continuous hydrological data, AQUARIUS 3.5 now allows users to configure extended attributes for time series, providing richer context for centralizing time series information.

Improvements & Fixes. User feedback and internal testing have led to dozens of additional software enhancements. Customer can review the complete list of improvements on the release notes available on the AQUARIUS 360° Support Portal.

AQUARIUS is the leading software for water time series data management.
