CrowdOptic Announces CrowdOptic Eye(TM) for Enterprise Live Streaming

SAN FRANCISCO, CA --(Marketwired - March 14, 2016) - CrowdOptic, the leading provider of mobile and wearable broadcasting solutions for live events, today announced the availability of CrowdOptic Eye™, the company's first standalone hardware product for instant, professional-grade live streaming.

Designed initially for enterprise use within the sports and healthcare industries, CrowdOptic Eye is highly configurable, with the ability to broadcast at multiple resolutions over multiple wireless frequencies. Once configured, CrowdOptic Eye is extremely simple to use, with a simple on-off button that instantly begins broadcasting with no additional setup required.

CrowdOptic Eye offers the following features and configurations:

  • 1080p and 720p @ 30fps
  • Up to 10+ hours of streaming
  • 5MP camera
  • Dual Band 802.11ac
  • Fast Ethernet adapter
  • Wireless two-way audio
  • LTE capable

CrowdOptic Eye may be used as a standalone streaming device, or in a networked master-slave configuration with multiple CrowdOptic Eye devices or even other wearable streaming devices such as Google Glass.

CrowdOptic Eye is designed for use with the CrowdOptic Enterprise Console, a server-based application that allows administrators to manage multiple streams from multiple device types -- including smartphones, smartglasses, drones, and now the CrowdOptic Eye. The CrowdOptic Enterprise Console, which is licensed separately, provides centralized, two-way audio communication with mobile broadcasters; a rules-based algorithmic selection of "best" stream in real time; video archiving capabilities; and user, device, and stream administration. CrowdOptic Eye, when used in conjunction with CrowdOptic Enterprise Console, offers a HIPAA-compliant solution complete with enterprise-grade security and authentication capabilities.

CrowdOptic Eye is available for purchase starting today at $499 per device, plus a subscription to the CrowdOptic Enterprise Console.
