Safeway to Help Feed Ability for Muscular Dystrophy Canada and Easter Seals from June 12th - June 28th

DRYDEN, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - June 12, 2015) -

Media Alert and Photo Opportunity

For the first time Muscular Dystrophy Canada and Easter Seals Canada have joined forces to raise funds at Safeway stores from June 12th - June 28th, to Help Feed Ability in our community. Safeway customers are invited to make a donation to support two great organizations and receive bonus Air Miles Reward Miles.

To learn more about how this campaign assists local people who are affected by neuromuscular disorders, join Casey Gould and some of the Dryden Fire Fighters on Saturday June 20th, between 11am and 2pm at the Dryden store.

All funds raised will be shared equally with both organizations and will support the Safeway Feeding Ability program. The Muscular Dystrophy Canada program will provide education and awareness of the importance of good nutrition and hydration and the unique considerations for Canadians living with neuromuscular disorders, which can be a lot more challenging when families focus on the basic physical challenges of the disorder. Easter Seals Safeway Feeding Ability program is designed to get more children excited about eating and preparing healthy food, regardless of their ability.

  • Safeway customers are invited to donate $2.00 and receive 5 bonus Air Miles Reward Miles, or donate $3.00 to receive 10 bonus Air Miles Reward Miles.
  • All proceeds raised will be donated equally to Muscular Dystrophy Canada and Easter Seals Canada.
