iAnthus Capital Holdings, Inc. Confirms Appointment of Richard Boxer, Public Health Policy Expert, and Paul Rosen, Medical Marijuana Industry Leader, to Board of Directors


TORONTO, ON and NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - September 19, 2016) - iAnthus Capital Holdings, Inc. ("iAnthus" or the "Company") (CSE: IAN), which delivers a comprehensive solution for financing and managing licensed cannabis cultivators, processors and dispensaries throughout the United States, today announced the appointment of Paul Rosen and Richard Boxer, MD to the Company's Board of Directors in August 2016. iAnthus' board is now comprised of Hadley Ford, Julius Kalcevich, Randy Maslow, Richard Boxer, and Paul Rosen.

Dr. Boxer is a nationally respected U.S. health policy advisor, patient advocate, and medical quality assurance expert. Mr. Rosen has extensive experience in the legal medical cannabis industry in Canada as both an operator and financier.

Dr. Boxer is currently a visiting scholar and clinical professor in urology at the UCLA Medical Center. He was a finalist for Surgeon General of the United States in 1997 in the Bill Clinton Administration and again in 2001 in the George W. Bush Administration. Dr. Boxer served as a Senior Advisor in the White House in 1993 and has also served on the Board of Directors of the National Cancer Institute (NCAB), the Board of the National Institute of Diabetes, Kidney and Digestive Diseases (NIDDK) from 1995-2002, and as a US Delegate to the World Health Organization in 1997. From 2006 to 2013 Dr. Boxer was the Chief Medical Officer at Teladoc, which created the national standard of care for telemedicine under Dr. Boxer's direction.

Mr. Rosen is a founder and acting President of RG2 Partners, a Toronto based advisory and incubator active within the global cannabis industry. Mr. Rosen most recently served as President and CEO of PharmaCan Capital Corporation, a publicly traded merchant bank focused on investing in Canada's medical marijuana industry, a company which he co-founded. While CEO at PharmaCan, Mr. Rosen concurrently served as President of In The Zone Produce Ltd., a Canadian medical marijuana producer licensed by Health Canada. Mr. Rosen currently acts as Chairman of Lift Cannabis and sits on the Boards of MVC Technologies and Tokyo Smoke.

iAnthus began trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange in September 2016 and previously announced the closing of a US$6.7 million private placement in May, 2016. Funds from the private placement will be used to invest in its existing partners in Massachusetts, New Mexico and Vermont and for general working capital purposes.
