Imperial Capital Research Expands With New Senior Credit Analyst Hire in Energy

LOS ANGELES, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 25, 2015) - Imperial Capital Group, LLC ("Imperial Capital") announced today the expansion of its research team which provides value added investment research across the capital structure with the hiring of a senior energy analyst, Nilesh Patel. Mr. Patel, a Wall Street veteran in the energy sector, is based in New York and reports to Ed Mally, Managing Director and Head of Institutional Research. This new hire is part of Imperial Capital's efforts to expand and deepen its energy strategy and solutions offered to institutional investors in the U.S. and the EEA. Mr. Patel will focus on the analysis of energy securities across the capital structure of E&P and Services issuers, event-driven investment opportunities, and energy industry trends.

Nilesh Patel joins Imperial Capital as a Managing Director in the Institutional Research Group and brings over 20 years of credit experience to Imperial Capital's franchise. Most recently, Mr. Patel was a Managing Director & Senior Desk Analyst with Seaport Group and formerly, Global Hunter Securities covering relative value analysis on energy companies. Prior to this, Mr. Patel spent seven years in investment management as an analyst and trader, after beginning his career in a variety of roles, including high yield and distressed desk analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. Mr. Patel earned an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSBA, magna cum laude, from Boston University. In addition, Mr. Patel holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute.
