Indiana Wesleyan University Selects D2L's Brightspace as Learning Management System

WATERLOO, ON--(Marketwired - May 30, 2017) - Out with the old, in with the new. Indiana Wesleyan University (IWU) will migrate its Learning Management System (LMS) to D2L's next-generation teaching and learning platform Brightspace to support its 1,420 full-time faculty and adjuncts, as well as more than 13,200 residential and non-residential students. Learners across the university in associate, bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs, as well as those enrolled in certificate programs, can access the new personalized learning experience to achieve improved academic results.

IWU needed to transition quickly to a new LMS to avoid widening the gap between the limits of its current LMS and its commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences. With D2L, IWU can deploy a more scalable, comprehensive LMS, which is custom to the university's needs and strategic plan. IWU has three main academic units, which include traditional residential four-year students, non-residential students who are part of adult education programs and seminary students.
