InterRent REIT Notification in Regards to June 15, 2011 Distribution Cheques

OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - June 16, 2011) -

InterRent Real Estate Investment Trust (TSX:IIP.UN)(TSX:IIP.DB) ("InterRent") announced today that as a result of all operations being suspended at Canada Post as of the end of day Tuesday, June 14, 2011, the June distribution cheques that would normally have been mailed on the 15^th have been held at the offices of our Transfer Agent.

If any Unitholders that normally receive their cheques from Equity Financial Trust would like to pick-up their cheques, they may do so by going in person to 200 University Avenue, 3^rd floor, Toronto, Ontario, M5H 4H1. Please ensure that you bring proper photo identification. If you would like to have your courier pick up your cheque for you, please email Lori Thompson at lthompson@equityfinancialtrust.com to make arrangements. Any cheques not picked up will be mailed once Canada Post resumes operations.

InterRent would like to take this opportunity to remind Unitholders that under our Distribution Reinvestment Plan, participants may elect, without brokerage fees, to automatically reinvest monthly distributions. Units purchased through reinvestment of distributions will be purchased at 96% of the Weighted Average Market Price of the Units for the 10 trading days preceding the distribution payment date.
