Irish Titan Earns Magento 2 Certification

MINNEAPOLIS, MN--(Marketwired - December 01, 2015) - Irish Titan, a digital agency committed to owning eCommerce in the North, announced today that they achieved their Magento 2 Certification in early November.

With Magento 2 being heralded as the next evolution of eCommerce for almost a year, there was a lot of anticipation surrounding the platform's release. Thankfully for all involved, it delivered. Magento 2 took the core Magento platform (which was nothing to sneeze at), and rebuilt it to run faster and more powerfully. The proof? Customers can now add items to their cart up to 50% faster and out-of-the-box Magento 2 can support up to 200,000 page views/hour.

Much like the iPhone 6, which changed everything, Magento 2 is delivering a similar result to the eCommerce world. As a result, any agency that wished to attempt the certification process had to invest over 100 hours in training to ensure readiness, an undertaking that included a two-part project. Irish Titan's Technology Director Kevin Miles and Jon Saverda tackled Part 1: The Fundamentals of Magento 2 Development course, while one of the firm's Front End Developers, Jesse Hintze completed Part 2: The Core Principles for Theming in Magento 2.

All three Titans had previously achieved developer certification in their respective fields (Miles and Saverda carrying the Magento Developer and Developer Plus certifications and Hintze, a certified Front End Developer) and have deep experience with Magento, making them the perfect candidates to usher Irish Titan into the new era. Upon completion of the training exercises, they undertook a series of tests that were graded by Magento to ensure competency and readiness.

As a result, Irish Titan was one of the first agencies in the country to achieve the Magento 2 Certification distinction, and is now part of a select grouping of partners that have also completed the lengthy process.
