OVH US Appoints David Wigglesworth as Chief Revenue Officer

Enterprise sales leader from VMware, Dell/EMC joins OVH US to drive growth

RESTON, VA--(Marketwired - May 23, 2017) - OVH US, a global hyper-scale cloud provider, announced that David Wigglesworth has been appointed as Chief Revenue Officer. He joined OVH US as part of the acquisition of vCloud Air from VMware that closed on May 8, and had been serving as vice president of global operations and go-to-market (GTM) strategy. He will report to Russell P. Reeder, OVH US president and CEO.

"David has extensive experience in leading global sales initiatives at top technology companies like VMware and Dell/EMC," said Reeder. "We've built a team ready to challenge the industry status quo in cloud services, and David will play a key role in helping us to drive growth over the next 12 months."

At VMware, Wigglesworth was responsible for setting and executing the global sales strategy, as well as managing the operational functions for the sales teams. Prior to serving as vice president, he was senior sales director for enterprise sales at vCloud Air, where he drove vCloud Air revenue for the enterprise segment in the US. As Chief Revenue Officer for OVH US, he will be responsible for driving global growth for the vCloud Air product line, as well as bringing the wider OVH US product line to market.

"It's a great honor not only to be leading the sales organization, but also to be joining such a strong technology company as OVH," said Wigglesworth. "The vision OVH has for hybridity in the cloud market, coupled with the investment in data center infrastructure here in the US, is going to give us a tremendous strategic advantage and allow us to continue to provide cutting-edge cloud solutions for our existing and new clients."

Prior to joining VMware, Wigglesworth spent eight years with Dell/EMC, holding regional and national leadership positions, including senior director of sales for the service provider team and senior director of enterprise and content management for the TOLA region. As senior director of the service provider team, revenue grew from $50 million annually to over $800 million in just three years.
