Polar Explorer Ben Saunders to Keynote at Adaptive Insights User Conference

Leads 'Journey to Insights' at Adaptive Live 2016

PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwired - Feb 16, 2016) -  Adaptive Insights, the leader in cloud corporate performance management (CPM) for the biggest brands and the hottest companies, today announced that world record-breaking polar explorer and repeat TED Speaker, Ben Saunders, will deliver the guest keynote at its upcoming Adaptive Live 2016 user conference taking place April 25-28 at the San Jose Convention Center. Titled "Journey to the Arctic: A Story of Fulfilling Boundless Potential," the keynote will take place during a morning session on Wednesday, April 27.

A speaker at the 2005, 2012, and 2014 TED conferences, Saunders has been labeled "a master story teller" by TED as he combines the allure and nostalgia of 20th century explorers with the ingenuity of today's modern adventurers. He relies on meticulous planning and technology to both prepare for and survive each of his adventures.

"Ben's success where others have failed has required thoughtful planning and consideration of every possible risk and outcome he might encounter under some of the most extreme environmental conditions on Earth," said Tom Bogan, CEO of Adaptive Insights. "We're excited to host a true explorer of limits who will undoubtedly inspire our customers to unleash their own boundless potential and achieve goals they may have never previously imagined."

About Ben Saunders
Polar explorer and adventurer Ben Saunders is a man who is making history. He is a five-time North Pole explorer, was the youngest man to reach the North Pole, and holds the record for the longest solo Arctic journey by a Briton. Since 2001 he has logged a record-breaking 3,730 miles (or 142 marathons) on skis in the Polar regions -- a feat that requires both physical and mental fortitude, as well as comprehensive planning and innovation.

Best known for leading The Scott Expedition Saunders successfully completed the longest human-powered polar journey from Antarctica to the South Pole and back again. It was an ambitious 105-day, 1,800-mile trek on foot to retrace the expedition that defeated Captain Robert Falcon Scott and Sir Earnest Shackleton during their ill-fated, early 20th-century journey to the South Pole -- equivalent to running 69 marathons back to back.
