SFX Preferred Resorts Announces Appointment of Brad McDonald to President

Former SVP of Product Development for ICE and Wyndham Worldwide Corporation Joins SFX

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 5, 2014) - SFX, a boutique timeshare exchange company, today officially announced the new hire of Brad McDonald as President, effective immediately.

McDonald brings to SFX more than 30 years of timeshare industry executive experience, having previously served as Senior Vice President of Alliance and Product Development for Wyndham Worldwide Corporation: Exchange and Rentals. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President of account management and product implementations at ICE (International Cruise & Excursions, Inc.)

In his role at SFX, McDonald will bring his extensive partnership alliance, product development and loyalty program experience to expand the company's market share within the timeshare and travel industry. "Brad brings energy, vision and a deep understanding of timeshare and vacation exchange to our business," says Mel Grant, Chairman and CEO. "Brad's an incredibly talented executive. His passion for authentic customer care and innovative technology-enabled product development is the perfect match for our organization as we prepare to grow our consumer servicing and timeshare developer sales and marketing programs."

"The timeshare industry has always been more competitive than it is innovative," said McDonald. "I've taken note of SFX's commitment to the standards they've upheld for the high-demand, high-quality upscale inventory they maintain, the concierge-style service they provide to their members, and the way they develop creative inventory channel distribution systems for resort developers. SFX holds a strong position in this competitive landscape because they remove the barriers of a single exchange network for members and provide a great value proposition. I feel privileged to be joining the organization at this pivotal time of growth."

McDonald will be relocating from his home in Arizona to the SFX San Francisco Bay Area offices.

In addition to McDonald's appointment, Cory Phelps, a member of the organization's executive team for more than 11 years, has been elevated into the position of Chief Operating Officer. Mel Grant, the company's founder, will add the role of Chairman to his responsibilities as CEO.
