Space Codesign Systems Inc. Receives Financial Support from Government of Canada for Foreign Commercialization of SpaceStudio(TM) 2.0


MONTRÉAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - March 6, 2012) - The Honourable Denis Lebel, Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and Minister of the Economic Development Agency of Canada for the Regions of Quebec, announces that the firm Space Codesign Systems Inc. has been granted financial assistance to promote its SpaceStudio™ 2.0 virtual platform technology on foreign markets.

"This is a real boost to innovation the Government of Canada is giving today by lending its financial support to Space Codesign Systems," says Minister Lebel.

SpaceStudio™ 2.0 is a suite of software tools that allows for the quicker creation of embedded systems applications for current, dedicated devices like GPS systems and smartphones. Space Codesign Systems is an electronics design company founded in 2008 as the result of research and development in engineering carried out at École Polytechnique de Montréal.

This financial assistance, granted in the form of a $125,000 repayable contribution, has been awarded through Canada Economic Development's Business and Regional Growth program.
