EATONTOWN, NJ--(Marketwired - Jun 16, 2015) - Yorktel's Media Services division has been nominated for an Emmy® Award for its production of the television program "American Veteran Center Honors." The program recognizes and honors American veterans of the United States Armed Forces, including some of the most decorated and distinguished veterans and active duty military personnel from World War II to the present day.

"It is an honor to share the stories of these American heroes. These brave men and women have given so much to help so many. Their stories are an inspiration to us all," said Yorktel's Executive Vice President of Media Services, Mark Maxey.

The "American Veteran Center Honors" includes tributes to legends like the Doolittle Raiders, Tuskegee Airmen and Medal of Honor recipients, to American heroes of Afghanistan and Iraq. Their stories of heroism were shared by such notable film and television personalities as Bret Baier, Lorraine Bracco, Megyn Kelly, Taylor Kitsch, Joe Mantegna, Pat Sajak, Gary Sinise, D.B. Sweeney, and Mark Valley.

The Emmy® Award is the premier television production award and is presented by the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for excellence across the television industry. Awards for the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter will be presented on Saturday, June 27, 2015. The "American Veteran Center Honors" is nominated in the category Public/Current/Community Affairs - Program/Special.
