("SMART"), the parent company of SMART Modular Technologies, Inc., today announced the launch of its initial public offering of 5,300,000 of its ordinary shares. The initial public offering price is expected to be between $13.00 and $15.00 per share. The underwriters of the offering will also have a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 795,000 of SMART's ordinary shares. SMART has applied to list its ordinary shares on the NASDAQ Global Market under the ticker symbol "SGH."
