VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - Nov. 5, 2014) - Tintina Resources Inc. ("Tintina" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:TAU)(OTCQX:TINTF) is pleased to announce the recommencement of drilling at the Black Butte Copper Project located in Meagher County, Montana, USA.
Tintina has launched a new round of drilling at its Black Butte Copper Project focused on further testing the Upper and Lower Copper Zones of the Johnny Lee Deposit. The current plan is to drill approximately 8,700 feet (2,652 meters) of diamond drill core in 9 holes. This drilling will provide representative samples from selected areas of each zone for metallurgical test work necessary to optimize copper recoveries. The holes will also provide critical geological, resource and geotechnical data for mine planning and further the Company's understanding of the deposits.
Tintina has also completed the pump test program previously announced. The hydrologic data collected will be analyzed in detail and used for a comprehensive analysis of the water balance and for diligent groundwater modeling in the area of the Johnny Lee deposit.
Tintina's recently appointed CEO, Mr. Bruce Hooper stated: "We are very pleased to have successfully completed the pump test program and to be embarking on the metallurgical drilling program. The drilling and testwork is a critical step in advancing the Black Butte project to provide economic stimulus to the local region while ensuring we protect the environment."
Mr. Jerry Zieg, VP of Exploration, added, "Understanding and protecting our watershed is our number one priority as we develop this project. Further metallurgical work will help us better understand the characteristics of all the materials we plan to mine and will allow us to develop the optimal mine design to protect our region."
